Give your feedback over Bridge Street traffic order

NOTTS County Council is encouraging members of the public to give their views on a pilot traffic order to clamp down on illegal parking on Bridge Street.

The authority is seeking your views on the six-month trial order which will ban all parking on the pedestrianised areas of Bridge Street and Bridge Place.

Blue badge holders and special access permit holders will also be prevented from parking on both areas.

The council has acted after complaints from traders and members of the public who have complained about the level of ‘intrusion’ from traffic in the pedestrianised zone in Bridge Street.

On one weekday in December 2009, 40 legal vehicles and 90 illegal vehicles were recorded in the pedestrianised zone.

Any comments on the scheme should be directed to major projects and improvements team manager Neil Hodgson by emailing [email protected] or by calling 0115 9772720.
