Go for a walk in Gainsborough '“ by bus

Stagecoach East Midlands launched their Interconnect Bus Walk guide with a special event at Marshall's Yard, in Gainsborough.

Stagecoach East Midlands, Lincolnshire County Council, North East Lincolnshire Council, East Lindsey Council, Love Lincolnshire Wolds, National Trust, West Lindsey Council and Lincolnshire Ramblers, have worked together to launch a series of walks, which are focused around the Interconnect bus services.

Seven walks across the Wolds, which have been tested by the Ramblers, have been specifically designed to encourage people of all ages and abilities to enjoy the outdoors.

Walking guides will be available online and on-board the buses running Interconnect 53, 56 and 100 services.

The Interconnect routes are served by six brand new double decker buses which are part of on-going investment that has seen some £9 million put into the service over the past three years.

Matt Cranwell, managing director of Stagecoach East Midlands, said: “We are delighted to have launched the Interconnect Bus Walks and to promote the beautiful countryside around us.

“Our Interconnect bus services make these amazing walks more accessible and we hope they will appeal to people of all ages and abilities.”
