Golf club captain from Woodthorpe Hall raises £600

A big-hearted ladies captain from Woodthorpe Hall Golf Club has raised £609 for the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

Mrs Marie Leach choose the British Heart Foundation as her charity of the year in 2015.

The vital funds raised will help the BHF in its fight against heart and circulatory disease.

Mrs Leach, along with members from the ladies’ section, presented the money to the BHF’s fundraising manager for Lincolnshire, Helena Mair, at the club.

Mrs Leach said: “We are delighted to have raised this amount of money in my lady captain’s year.

“The BHF is very dear to my heart and we all know someone that has been touched by heart disease.

“Members of the club have been so generous and I want to say a very big thank you for their amazing support.”

“Mrs Leach organised such fantastic events and gained great support.”
