Good Friday Walk of Witness at Red Hill

The service started at the foot of the hill, from where the congregation processed the half mile to Red Hill behind three full sized crosses, which were then placed on the skyline.
The service, led by the Rev Pam Fraser, Rector of the Asterby Group, and the Rev Avril Ford, from Horncastle, took place in the disused quarry, now part of a nature reserve.

This well attended, moving act of witness is now an established tradition for Good Friday, attended by people from all denominations.
The organisers, the South Wolds Administrative Group, includes 25 churches in the Asterby, Hemingby and Horncastle Groups of parishes.
