Good Friday Walk of Witness at Red Hill

Glorious sunshine warmed visitors and members of local churches who came together for the annual Good Friday Service at Red Hill in the Wolds near Goulceby.

The service started at the foot of the hill, from where the congregation processed the half mile to Red Hill behind three full sized crosses, which were then placed on the skyline.

The service, led by the Rev Pam Fraser, Rector of the Asterby Group, and the Rev Avril Ford, from Horncastle, took place in the disused quarry, now part of a nature reserve.

The hymns were accompanied by the band of Banovallum Brass, with the congregation standing in a semi-circle around the rim of the quarry.
