Milly Jacklin, who attends Somercotes Academy, is now gearing up to battle it out for the national title of Junior Miss Britain that is taking place over Easter weekend.

“I’m feeling good and really happy to have been selected for Junior Miss Grimsby,” Milly said.

Milly was scouted and evaluated by competition officials and was offered the opportunity to be the new Junior Miss Grimsby.

She explains that she was excited to receive the crown as there is lots involved with the role. “I really enjoy doing charity work and this is the great thing about the competition. A lot of what is involved is helping others.” Milly added. “It’s not all just about modelling and looking your best.”

Milly is currently working alongside and raising money for the Louth and District Lions, St Andrew’s Hospice and the Variety Children’s Charity.

“Being able to do some charity work for local causes is great as I really want to give something back to my local community.”
