With the help of volunteers and Turnbull & Co Sleaford, the hospice now has its own patio area and a pergola, for patients to enjoy in the coming months.

Volunteers from the BT Openreach Volunteer Tuesday Campaign, decided to dedicate their time and efforts into helping to erect the new pergola in the Hospice gardens, of which materials required for the project were donated by Turnbull & Co Sleaford.

Tina Dingley, corporate fund-raiser at St Barnabas Hospice in Grantham, said: “The hospice was thrilled to have been approached by BT Openreach and would like to take this opportunity to extend out very grateful thanks to the volunteers for all of their hard work, effort and commitment over the past months.

“Along with a very big thank you to the staff at Turnbull & Co Sleaford for their very generous donation in supplying and donating all the materials.

“In the coming months our patients will have the opportunity to sit outside in the lovely surroundings and enjoy the wonderful garden in the fresh air.”

A spokesperson for Turnbull & Co said: “We were delighted to assist with the construction of the new patio and pergola by providing the materials required. Like many in the community, we know of friends, family and colleagues who have benefited from being aided by the Hospice.”
