Grasby cricketers
With the cricket season upon us, it seemed fitting to include this image of Grasby Cricket Club from 1949.
Thanks go to Jim Nock, of Walesby Road in Market Rasen, for supplying the photograph.
He tells us the team members were not all in traditional whites as it was just after the war and clothing coupons were still required.
Mr Nock is pictured second from the left on the back row.
He names his fellow players as, back row, from left: Stan Hagget, Harold Frankish, George Hinch, John Bolton and Ron Kirkby; front row: Alec Hilton, Ted Green, Bob Frankish, Bruce Hodson and Ken Haw.
