‘Great progress’ being made at Hemswell

THE DELIGHTED head of West Lindsey District Council has spoken about the ‘great progress’ that is being made rejuvenating the former-RAF site at Hemswell Cliff.

Last month, WLDC agreed to press ahead with plans to buy five acres of land in the centre of Hemswell Cliff and then give it back to the community in the hope that it will be used for communal activities and double as a village green.

“We’re also making a grant of up to £10,000 to support community facilities at Hemswell Cliff Primary School - so we are off to a good start,” said Coun Burt Keimach. “The phrase ex-MoD site is horrible - it makes the places sound as though there is nothing going on. This is far from the truth and I’ll do all I can to ensure this community thrives to its maximum potential.”
