The National Trust property will be visited by dozens of reenactors from this elegant era who will mix with visitors, hold dance demonstrations, have a period church service and pose for photo opportunities.

Gunby visitor experience manager, Astrid Gatenby said: “Gunby Hall was lived in during the Regency period, so it feels like the past is coming to life again when we welcome so many reenactors in period costume.

“Visitors love taking selfies with the Regency ladies and gentlemen and some hope to get a glimpse of Mr Darcy himself.”

Regency Day is free for National Trust members and well behaved dogs on leads are welcome in the gardens and grounds.

The day starts at 11am and last admission to the house is 4pm. For more information, go to: www.nationaltrust.org.uk/gunby-hall.
