Harworth: Did you see attacker?

A woman was attacked as she walked home in Harworth but managed to escape by punching her attacker in the stomach.

The 23-year-old woman was approached by a man after she had alighted a bus and was walking home in Main Street, Harworth.

It happened at around 11pm on Tuesday 10th September.

He grabbed and groped her before she punched him in the stomach and ran.

The man, who was white, aged in his mid-20s and around 5ft 8ins tall, fled in the direction of Common Lane.

His victim sustained minor physical injuries in the attack and was extremely upset by the ordeal.

Enquiries have been made in the area and high-visibility patrols have been increased in the evenings to deter further crime and provide reassurance to the community.
