Harworth: Distraction burglars target elderly couple’s home

Two men knocked on the elderly couple’s door in Smith Square at around 1pm on Saturday 25th October.

They claimed to be carrying out work next door for the council checking for damp and so needed access to the house.

One of the men kept the couple talking while the other searched the house. They left with a quantity of cash.

Officers believe they were both wearing woolly hats.
