Harworth: New jobs created as Aldi opens its doors

A new Aldi supermarket in Harworth officially opened its doors and welcomed new customers yesterday, creating 25 new jobs for the area.

The store, located on Scrooby Road, was officially opened by students from the Harworth Church of England Academy at 8am.

Standing at 1140sqm, the store is supported by 85 car parking spaces and has created 25 new jobs for the local community.

To celebrate the official opening, Aldi is holding a Valentine’s Day themed Family Fun Day on Saturday 14th February from 11am.

Customers will be able to enjoy complimentary hot food, face painters, balloon modellers and themed gift bags.

Store Manager, Jayne Adderley, said she was excited about the opening and hoped customers would join staff to celebrate at the Family Dun Day.

Said Jayne: “The team is looking forward to welcoming customers to the new store in Harworth, and we would like to thank them for their patience throughout the development.”

Following the opening, the store will be open Monday to Saturday from 8am – 10pm and Sundays 10am – 4pm.
