Harworth run for charity

A HARWORTH school teacher put his best foot forward for a special run to raise money for charity.

Steven Owens, who teaches at All Saints CofE Primary School ran 30 miles from Southwell Minster to the school this month.

Friend Daniel Johnson also took part in the run and completed 15 miles before he had to retire with a knee injury.

The run was in aid of the school’s Gambia project to raise £1,2000 to mend the roof of a school they are twinned with.

All Saints headteacher Kerrie Clowes thanked everyone who supported Steven and Daniel on the charity run.

“I would like to thank them for their commitment - I am extremely proud of what they have achieved,”
