Farzana Khanum from North Lincolnshire Healthwatch will be presenting at a Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust (NLaG) members’ event. People are invited to meet in the council chamber, Civic Centre, Scunthorpe, on Friday February 28, where she will talk about Healthwatch and discuss how local voices can influence the delivery and design of local services. The event is free and open to Trust members and the public.

Healthwatch North Lincolnshire is the new, independent consumer champion for health and social care and will:

Provide information to the public about accessing health and social care services

Support for complaints about NHS services

Involve local people in the provision, monitoring and commissioning and of local services.

Farzana’s session will take place at the Trust members’ event from 1.30pm to 2.30pm. Please confirm your attendance by calling 01724 387946 or emailing [email protected]

Following this event on the same day, Scunthorpe’s governor and members’ forum will take place in the Civic Centre from 3pm to 5pm, which brings an opportunity for members of the public to meet their local Trust governors and find out more about current Trust issues and developments. Half an hour before this from 2.30pm to 3pm, Scunthorpe governors will also be available to chat to over a tea or coffee in an informal setting.

NLaG’s foundation trust office is working in partnership with North Lincolnshire Council to be able to use this venue to provide members with free parking.

The forum is open for anyone to attend and items for discussion can be brought to the attention of the governors by contacting the Foundation Trust membership office – call (01724) 387946 or email [email protected]

Please give notice as soon as possible to enable governors to consult and get answers to queries before the meeting.
