Head shave in support of two good causes

Natalie Hancock, 32, is due to take part in Macmillan Cancer Support’s Brave The Shave fundraiser.

The challenge sees people have their head shaved in return for donations.

Natalie, a mum-of-four, was inspired to launch the fundraiser after she and her husband, Paul, each lost a grandfather to cancer.

She said: “I always knew I wanted to do something. I just didn’t know what.”

Natalie, a fundraising coordinator at Boston Amateur BC Boxing, set herself a fundraising target of £200, but within a matter of days had already received donations of £185, so is now looking to go beyond her original aim.

The head-shave fundraiser will take place at Boston’s Robin Hood pub on Saturday, August 27.

Afterwards, Natalie’s hair will be donated to the Little Princess Trust, which provides wigs and hair pieces for children who suffer hair loss due to cancer treatment.
