Help the homeless - fill Santa's suitcase

Lincolnshire Co-op is launching a charity appeal for homeless people in its travel agency branches '“ including the one in Sleaford.

Generous individuals are being asked to donate a gift for a homeless person in the run up to Christmas as part of the charity campaign.

Lincolnshire Co-op’s 13 travel branches - including the Co-operative Travel branch on Southgate, Sleaford - are currently running their annual Santa’s Suitcase appeal, collecting presents which will be shared between local homeless charities.

It links into Lincolnshire Co-op’s Community Champions scheme which will see the whole business raising funds for local homeless charities throughout December, January and February.

People can just drop into their local travel branch to donate a gift – suggestions include clothes, hats and scarves, toiletry sets, books, puzzles, chocolates and gift sets.
