The first will be Sgt Caroline Broughton from the Crime Prevention and Partnership Section of Lincolnshire Police.

Sgt Broughton will introduce the Friends Against Scams project, which looks at fraud in its widest remit, from doorstep to mailbox, telephone and cyber.

The second half of the evening will be a presentation from Doug Shaw, an IT manager from Morton’s in Horncastle, who will speak and show slides on how we can all help to protect ourselves and our computers against online fraud and scams.

Questions will be invited from the audience, with the evening ending at around 9pm.

Quilting - The next meeting of the Linus Quilting group will be held at Palavas next Thursday, February 22, at 2pm.
