Mablethorpe Coastguards were paged by Humber Coastguard to support Alford & Mablethorpe Police in the search for the man in Sutton on Sea.

Mablethorpe RNLI were tasked, and launched both lifeboats to undertake a shore line search both north and south of the boathouse.

A spokesman from Mablethorpe Coastguard said: "We were assisted by both flank teams, HM coastguard Skegness, and HM Coastguard Donna Nook Rescue Team.

"The teams were assembled at the last known position of 'Miami Beach' and a 300 metre hub search was organised. We also sent two vehicles to search all access points both North & South from our hub. Thankfully, the male was located safe and well by the team shortly after our hub search began.

"This was an excellent and well-executed joint operation with three Coastguard Teams, RNLI Mablethorpe Lifeboat Station, and Lincolnshire Police. Many thanks to all involved."

If you see a coastal emergency, dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
