High visibility vests donated to Doncaster school to ensure road safety

With winter well underway and the evenings getting darker every day, David Wilson Homes has donated 50 high visibility vests to children at Hayfield Lane Primary School in Doncaster to help them to stay safe on their way to and from school.

The housebuilder, which is developing the popular Pembridge Park site in Auckley, has also created some fun picture slides to encourage children to think about road safety on their journeys to school.

Both the vests and picture slides have been distributed to schools in the Doncaster area to help remind children how important it is to stay safe on and near roads.

Paul Hogan, Sales Director at David Wilson Homes Yorkshire East, said: “With Christmas just around the corner it’s an exciting time of year for local children, but with it comes dark mornings and dark evenings – both of which mean we need to ensure children are extra cautious near roads.

“We hope these vests will remind children to be extra vigilant while walking in the winter time, and will help to ensure they are visible to other road users on their way to and from school.”
