There will be a chance to discover the history of Sleaford on a guided walk through the town next weekend.

Local historian Dr Simon Pawley will lead the event, which will include a visit to the Old Sleaford and The Old Place, once the home of powerful nobleman Lord John Hussey. Find out what the most recent archaeology has discovered on site. Learn, too, why one of the best known vanished landmarks of Sleaford never really existed.

The walk will start at 10.30am on Sunday, June 19, at Navigation House, and take about one and a half hours.
