Richard Reed, head of property at John Pye Property, said: “There is substantial scope to convert Ashby Hall into a luxury country retreat or into a variety of different commercial uses subject to planning.
“Ashby Hall offers purchasers a wonderful opportunity to purchase a beautiful manor house in idyllic location.”
The origins of the estate date back to the Norman Conquest after the Battle of Hastings in 1066, when English Anglo-Saxon lands were handed to Norman knights. During its history, Ashby Hall has been used as a Second World War officers’ mess, a country club and casino, and more recently the headquarters of a defence and security manufacturing company.
