Historic parish church
Our photo of the week comes from keen photographer Kevin Taylor.
He first tweeted the image to us and then, when we showed our interest, sent this higher resolution version of St Denys’ Church, Aswarby.
He said: “Did you know this church is closed to the general public for safety reasons?”
From the photo you can see the point of the stone spire is missing.
Aswarby is the birthplace of George Bass, explorer of Australia and Tasmania and there is a memorial to him in the church.
