Hodthorpe: Van seized for no insurance

The white Ford Transit van was stopped by officers on Broad Lane at around 1.10pm on Friday 31st May.

Enquiries showed that it was being driven without insurance and it was seized by police under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act.

PCSO Matt Wardle of the local Safer Neighbourhood policing team said: “We would urge all motorists to check their insurance is up-to-date and those who are driving illegally should get insurance cover straight away.”
