The event takes place at the former Crowders Garden Centre in Lincoln Road and will coincide with the centre’s relaunch by new owners Wyevale Garden Centres.

Police from Horncastle will be focusing on bike, shed and garden security, offering friendly advice and crime prevention packs to visitors from 9am until 3pm both days, with stars from Channel Five’s Police Interceptors series also expected to drop by.

PCSO Nigel Wass said: “Unfortunately, we have seen a recent increase in shed and garage burglaries, with offenders targeting items such as power tools and bikes.

“In the last month alone, there have been 13 offences in the Coningsby, Tattershall and Woodhall areas, six reports in Spilsby and five in Horncastle and Wragby.

“We are encouraging local people to come along to the event and learn more about how they can protect their property, increase their chances of having it recovered in the event of a theft and how to keep up to date with crime trends by signing up to our messaging system, Lincs Alert.”
