Hospital Friends in League of own

The League of Friends visited Bassetlaw Hospital’s maternity ward and day surgery unit this month to see the equipment they had given to the hospital.

A recliner chair was donated to the maternity ward for patients and their relatives to relax in while visiting or staying overnight.

The day surgery unit received new coffee tables and chairs for their waiting area.

All the equipment donated by the League of Friends plays an important part in making patients, relatives and visitors stays more comfortable.

The League of Friends raises money for amenities and comforts for patients and visitors at Bassetlaw Hospital.

Since starting over 50 years ago, the friends have raised over £250,000 for many pieces of equipment.

The League of Friends is holding a coffee morning at the Masonic Hall in Worksop on Wednesday 4th April from 10am to 12pm. Admission is £1, which includes coffee and biscuits.
