Kim Daniels and his wife Christine have taken over the former ‘Benton’s/No29’ premises in Bridge Street.

The couple have exciting plans, including a new name - Ollies.

They have already opened and are offering what they describe as ‘homemade and bistro style cooking’ five days a week.

However, they are keen to tap into Horncastle’s growing reputation for food outlets, especially in West Street.

Mr Daniels said: “We’re doing a lot of new things - and we want to do a lot more.

“It’s a very exciting time for us and hopefully people will like what we are doing.”

The couple are planning changes inside the premises and builders will move in next week for ‘stage one’ of an on-going project.

Mrs Daniels has more than 20 years’ experience in catering and has re-vamped and added to the menu with a series of popular dishes, including daily specials.

Mr Daniels added: “We’ve been made to feel really welcome in Horncastle and the feedback has been positive.

“We’re offering breakfasts and lunches - along with what we’ve been told is the best coffee in town.

“We have other plans. We want to promote the bar and evening food three nights a week. Horncastle needs something between a pub and a restaurant.”
