Image released in burglary probe

Police have issued this CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with a burglary near Retford.

Bank cards were among the items taken during a break-in at a house in Cross Street, at Thrumpton, on Saturday 15th October, some time between 9.30am and 9.30pm.

One of the bank cards is alleged to have been used to withdraw cash at 9.35pm that evening at the Ollerton branch of the NatWest bank in Forest Road.

Police also want to speak to the man in the photograph about the making of that transaction.

It is believed this man may come from the Mansfield or Ashfield areas, or even possibly over the border in Derbyshire.

Anyone who recognises the man or saw someone making a transaction at the NatWest cashpoint in Ollerton at around 9.35pm is asked to telephone Notts Police on 0300 300 99 99, and quote crime number BE/081075/11.

The same number should be called by anyone who has any information about the burglary or witnessed any suspicious activity in Thrumpton on October 15.

Alternatively, they can call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
