Incinerator open day

Residents concerned of the health risks from waste incineration met in Retford for an open day to discuss the planned developments in Bassetlaw.

Elkesley Against Inclination Campaign chair David Porter is keen for the public to become aware of the risks from the proposed waste wood incinerators in Worksop and Elkesley.

The group is worried about the emission fallout around the incinerator, which they believe will spread 10 kilometres.

The day included a video from American professor Paul Connett, who was part of a UK tour in May to emphasise the health risks.
