Injujry blows! Boston United's Thewlis and Middleton face weeks on sidelines


On-lon Harrogate striker Thewlis suffered ligament damage following a challenge from Josh O’Keefe in today’s draw at Chorley.
Manager Craig Elliott believes the striker’s debut could well be his last game for the Pilgrims.

Hide Ad“It’s not looking good. I’m absolutely gutted for the lad,” he said.
“I thought it was a bit of a bad challenge. He’s had a few bad injuries.
“He is the man I’ve been after for a while and I felt I’d solved the area I wanted to.
“It’s swollen up and he won’t be playing in the next few weeks.”

Hide AdMiddleton arrived at Victory Park wearing a compression boot after breaking a bone in his left foot in the gym.
Elliott added: “You’re talking two or three weeks at least, so you’ll be lucky to get him back early next year.
“It’s frustrating. He’s a good, aggressive player and we are missing him.”
