Inquests to be opened into triple shooting deaths in Spalding

Lance Hart (57), his wife Claire (50) and daughter Charlotte (19) all died in a multiple shooting near Castle Swimming Pool, Pinchbeck Road, Spalding, at about 9am on Tuesday.

The Harts, all of Hatt Close, Moulton, all died at the scene and it is thought that Mr Hart fatally shot his wife and daughter before taking his own life. A spokesman for South Lincolnshirre Coroner’s Office said inquests into all three deaths will be opened at Boston Coroner’s Office, Unit 1 Gilbert Drive,

Endeavour Park, Boston, on Wednesday, July 27 at 9.30am.

Meanwhile, another tribute to Charlotte Hart from friend and ex-Spalding High School student Chloe Hannam (19) said: “Truly a sad day for all those who knew Charlotte and her family.

“Seeing her around school for six years, she always had a smile on her face in the sixth form common room.

“Knowing how much she meant to some of my closest friends, it saddens me that she’s been taken too soon in such a tragic way.

“You would never have thought this would happen here in such a small, quiet, market town.

“My thoughts are with her loved ones - rest in peace Charlotte.”
