Femmes of the Fens will run from November 7 to November 13 in Gallery at St Martins, 37B Hungate, in Lincoln, with all proceeds going to West Lincolnshire Domestic Abuse Service (WLDAS).

WLDAS provides support and assistance for women, men and children suffering from, or fleeing from domestic abuse.

Some of the Lincolnshire artists exhibiting are Mel Langton and Rosie Ablewhite.

Mel said: “Femmes of the Fens is a great opportunity to celebrate positive female role models from our county, whilst raising money for an extremely important cause.”

The gallery is open from 10am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on Sunday. Some pieces exhibited are available for purchase.

The exhibition promises to push boundaries of modern art, with red wine masterpieces, and photography.

Lucy King, refugee project manager for WLDAS, said: “We are truly grateful for the funding that Femmes of the Fens are generating.

“The money raised will help to significantly improve the lives of many men, women and children that are suffering or are at risk of domestic abuse, as well as raising awareness for the topic itself.”
