They will be going on a short trip to Twistringen, to reconnect with the choir The Churchies.

Members of the two choirs met each other three years ago in Bonnetable, which resulted in a visit by the Germans to Horncastle in 2014.

The two choirs will sing together and separately in a concert at the town hall in Twistringen on Saturday and both choirs are excited by the event.

This year, the Banovallum Singers are celebrating their 40th anniversary.

With a new chairman, Alex Ray, and a programme of concerts planned, the Singers are as vibrant as ever.

There are still three members of the original choir too, including Maureen Gay, the musical director.
