Interview evening a big success at Wales

AMBITIOUS pupils from Wales High School looked ahead to the future as the school held a careers evening.

Students from the lower sixth form went through a vigorous mock interview process to apply for their dream jobs in a wide variety of fields including business, sport and journalism.

Guardian reporter Andrew Trendell was there to put the pupils through their paces and test if they were really up to the job.

“I was really impressed by the calibre and passion of the Wales students,” said Andrew.

“Judging by their CVs alone, it was clear that they had already achieved great things and had a very promising future ahead of them - meeting and interviewing them only illuminated that even more.”

“The sixth formers I met with were bright, inquisitive and very highly motivated - the world of journalism had better watch out.”

Careers, education and guidance leader Mr Harrisson said: “Our lower sixth mock interview evening was a huge success.”

“The students have now received evaluation forms from the interviewers to reflect and act on.”
