Every year Gordon Holmes, who is a member of Firsby Group Parish Council, surrounds his home with hundreds of lights and leaves a charity box outside for donations.

This year’s charity has been especially close to his heart because it is four years since his wife, Wendy, was treated there.

Wendy said: “The staff were so lovely to me we wanted to do something to say thank you. People love coming to see the lights.”
