Iron Maiden front-man Bruce Dickinson to save airline
The lead singer of Iron Maiden has vowed to save a failing British airline, saying he has a “serious plan” to bring it back from administration.
Worksop-born Bruce Dickinson who is a trained pilot, flew for the Crawley-based airline between Jeddah, in Saudi Arabia, and Manchester.
He was appointed as marketing director last year.
Astraeus Airlines, which was owned by the Icelandic travel group Fengur, announced on Monday that it had ceased operations and would be applying to go into administration.
