Isle off road biker given warning from police

Police have been dealing with a male juvenile who has been riding an off road bike in the Owston Ferry area.

They have spoken to the parents of the individual concerned and he will be advised accordingly.

A section 59 order was issued under the Police Reform Act 2002 to a male adult driver regarding his manner of driving in the Axholme South Area.

A cannabis warning was issued to an adult female in the area of Haxey village regarding possession of a small quantity of cannabis.

The local Neighbourhood Police Team have regularly been patrolling Haxey in response to acts of anti-social behaviour by local youths congregating around the village youth club. Several youths have been spoken to and advised about their behaviour and the consequences for local residents. The matter will continue to be looked at and patrols will continue.

Within the last two weeks two males have been reported for summons for hare coursing within the Isle of Axholme. Their vehicle has been seized and will held pending an inquiry.

The local Neighbourhood Police Team are asking landowners to be extra vigilant at this time of the year and if anything suspicious is seen do not hesitate to contact Humberside Police on 101.

Try and get details of offenders such as clothing and any registration number of any vehicle they have used.

Also opening hours of Epworth Police Station have changed from 10am to 4pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
