Isle readers can put their literary knowledge to the test

Keen readers in the Isle have the chance to put their literary knowledge to the test in the World Book Night Quiz.

The ever-popular event returns to North Lincolnshire Central Library in Scunthorpe on Thursday April 21.

Whether you are a book whiz or just interested in reading books at any level, this is the quiz for you.

Teams of up to five can take part and there are fun and challenging rounds including ‘pubs in books’ and ‘fictional serial killers’.

Soft drinks and nibbles will be provided, and quizzers are welcome to take their own tipple of choice (including alcohol).

Tickets cost just £4.50 in advance, visit www.northlincs.gov.uk/libraries or call 01724 860161, or are £5 on the door.

Councillor Carl Sherwood, cabinet member for Customer Services, Sport and Leisure, said: “World Book Night is a great way to bring communities together so people can share their love of reading, and events like this are fantastic ways to encourage people to pick up a book and get reading.

Doors open at 7pm and the quiz will start at 7.30pm.
