Isle star Sheridan receives her OBE

The actress will grace Buckingham Palace to receive her award with her parents and brother Damian, before celebrating the occasion along with her parents’ golden wedding anniversary with extended family.

Brother Damian told facebook friends: “Mum, dad and me are so so proud to be invited to Buckingham Palace to go and watch my sis receive her OBE! Here’s to another great time to cherish!”

Hopefully the day will pass happily without incident. But it didn’t get off to a great start.....Sheridan tweeted this morning: “OBE day! Typical my lot, my specially made hat not delivered! Gutted. Ah well, always a drama in my world. At least I’m on time I guess ;) x”

The latter remark was a direct reference to being held up by traffic on her way to receive a television award earlier this year.
