The Breeze network is British Cycling’s programme that is led by women, for women. Breeze relies on a hugely important group of volunteer champions to make the programme happen.

British Cycling is currently looking to recruit new champions. There’s no need to be a cycling expert, just be confident on a bike and keen to help others. Enthusiastic people can inspire women to get more out of their bikes, have fun with friends and get recognised qualifications at the same time.

To become a Breeze champion:

You’ll take part in a fun one-day ride leadership course with the a chance to meet like-minded women.

The certificate qualifies you to independently plan, deliver and promote rides to groups of women.

In addition to free training there is provision of a Breeze kit, British Cycling ride membership and plenty of support along the way.

To ensure you are able to deliver safe bike rides British Cycling will support you to gain a first aid qualification.

In return, British Cycling asks the champions to deliver on average 12 rides over the year to local women in North Lincolnshire.

“More and more people are taking up cycling in North Lincolnshire so it is great that British Cycling is bringing further opportunities to our area. British Cycling offers a range of cycling opportunities, not just for women, so keep an eye out for a range of bike rides across North Lincolnshire that everyone can get involved in.”
