Existing committee member Brian Burbidge warned in last week’s Horncastle News that the future of both events could be under threat unless more volunteers come forward.

Mr Burbidge, who is also a town councillor, said: “If we are going to co ntinue putting on these events then we need new people with some new ideas.

“We need people to attend the meeting”

Both events attract big crowds but have attracted criticism from some residents and business owners.

The Summer Market wasn’t held last year and is unlikely to take place in 2017.

The committee has also been hit by the resignation of three stalwart members .

○The meeting will be held at Stanhope Hall (7pm).
