It’s goodbye to Epworth employee Wendy
Long service has been very long for one retired Co-operative worker at Epworth, who clocked up an amazing 53 years of duty.
Wendy Kitson performed a special duty before she said a fond farewell to colleagues at the Market Place store, by officially re-opening it following a total makeover.
Her colleagues chose Wendy to do the honours alongside new manager Chris Little, who said: “Wendy has been great to work with and was a model employee. Both colleagues and customers were sad to see her go, but we wish her a happy and well-deserved retirement.”
Wendy said: “I will always have good memories of working for the Co-operative.”
