Jobs boost at Worksop firm

Three unemployed people who were losing hope of finding jobs have received the perfect boost.

They have just been appointed by Worksop-based business process outsourcing specialists, DDC Outsourcing Solutions, and say that they ‘love every minute’ of their new jobs.

Bob Sayce from Worksop, Graham Simpson from Tuxford and Gainsborough man Ian Cowie are celebrating after a new relationship was formed between DDC Outsourcing Solutions, which is based on the Manton Wood Enterprise Park, and Ingeus, which delivers the Government’s Work Programme throughout the region.

When Bob Sayce from Worksop had a heart attack in 2007, his health condition caused him to lose his job as a continental truck driver.

Bob persisted in his attempts to find alternative work, applying for hundreds of jobs but without success.

“I knew I was capable of working but as soon as I mentioned my heart attack employers didn’t want to know,” he said. “I was just about to give up when I was introduced to Ingeus and that really was the turning point. I was given hope that there was a job out there for me which rang true soon after when I got the job here at DDC.”

“Graham, Ian and Bob are succeeding with us because their self-confidence had been restored,” said Rachel Dawson, DDC Outsourcing Solution’s human resources coordinator. “I knew they would fit in with our business. All they needed was an opportunity. Ingeus takes all the hard work out of finding the right people for our vacancies.”
