Jubilee fun raises school cash

RESIDENTS of a sheltered housing complex in Maltby have raised money for a special school.

Brundish House celebrated the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with a party and a raffle, which raised £110.

They donated the money to the Newman School in Whiston, a special school for pupils with physical disabilities and medical conditions.

The grandson of Maltby Town Councillr Keith Stringer, who helps residents at the complex get grants, attends the school. Coun Stringer said residents know about his fundraising for the National Autistic Society and how well his grandson, who has autism, is doing at the school.
