Darmon’s Funhouse kids’ club manager Lois Tilling and fellow staff member Sam Darling will be pedalling the 981-mile distance from John O’Groats to Land’s End and then back up to Sleaford on exercise bikes outside the children’s soft play facility in Station Road, Sleaford.

Starting at 9am on Friday, March 24, they plan to power through to the following morning, with a third machine set up for other staff and members of the public to join in an add support.

Lois said they also hope to collect enough to donate money to Sleaford Dementia Support group as well.

She said: “He hope to raise £1,000. It is a charity close to my heart. My mother in law and my great grandmother both suffer from dementia.”

They are being sponsored by Total Sports and Supplements and are currently in training for the marathon event.

Lois said: “I used to do a bit of cycling but neither of us are massive cycling experts - it is certainly out of our comfort zone.”

During the day there will be a fundraising fete and a sleep over at the kids club.

You can donate via her JustGiving page at ‘Darmonskidsclub24hourcycle’ or drop into the kids club to sponsor them.
