Kirton-in-Lindsey: New modernised post office and Lincolnshire Co-op to open

The service, which will launch at 1pm on Thursday, October 29, will be provided from two secure fortress positions.

The branch in High Street, Kirton in Lindsey, will open from 9am to 5:30pm Monday to Saturday. The opening hours, which will increase by an extra five hours of Post Office service a week, will offer more time on Saturday afternoon.

Wayne Dennett, Post Office group manager for Lincolnshire Co-op, said “We are delighted to be welcoming customers to our newly refurbished Kirton Lindsey Post Office, which will offer a wide range of Post Office services alongside our extensive retail offer.

“As a convenience store operator we are always looking for ways to make life easier for our customers and to provide an excellent service for the local community.”

Local residents and small business customers will be able to access a wide range of Post Office and mails services, including international parcels, Special Delivery, Local Collect and home shopping returns, make cash withdrawals from a Post Office Card Account, send funds abroad using Moneygram, pay bills, buy holiday money, get insurance, mortgages and savings and top up mobile phones.

As the traditional banking network declines, customers for the majority (99 per cent) of UK banks can use their post office for online banking cash deposits and withdrawals and bill payments.

Kirton Lindsey Post Office will close at 5.30pm on Wednesday, October 21, for the refurbishment to take place.

During this short period of closure Post Office services may be accessed from any convenient Post Office branch, including Scotter Post Office, Lincolnshire Co-op in High Street, Scotter and Willoughton Post Office in Templefield Road, Willoughton.
