The event will begin at 6pm outside the hospital in High Holme Road, and everyone is invited to go along and ‘find out more, hold a candle, and let people know what the hospital means to you’.

Local party chairman, Ros Jackson, said: “The Lincolnshire Sustainability and Transformation Plan (STP) is no answer to the current crisis in the NHS.

“Instead, it raises important questions about the value this government places on our lives, and their ability to protect our most cherished institution.”

Town councillor David Hall added: “The STP affects not just hospitals but all NHS services from birth to palliative care.

People are terrified because of the time they could spend waiting for an ambulance. It’s disgraceful.”
