There is concern about the implications of such gatherings if the police and emergency services are not prepared.

The rural nature of the county means it can be an attractive venue for these types of event.

Assistant Chief Constable Peter Davies says raves can result in a small minority of people having a detrimental effect on the quality of life of communities in Lincolnshire.

He said “We want to know if there is a rave or large gathering planned, where and when it is. If you have information about any large public gatherings, raves or similar events, or if you have suspicions about where or when an event could be taking place, please contact us.”

People with land and remote outbuildings are encouraged to check for any activity there this afternoon and into the evening.
