Last call for young designers

Time is running out to enter this year's Lincolnshire Young Designer of the Year competition.

The event, now in its second year, was founded by Sleaford’s National Centre for Craft and Design (NCCD) and St George’s Academy teacher Rebecca Topps.

It is open to young people aged seven to 19 who are studying in Lincolnshire.

In addition to being named Lincolnshire Young Designer of the Year, entrants have the chance to have their work exhibited at the NCCD and win a number of awards.

Pupils in Key Stage 2-3 have a design brief relating to inclusivity in a gallery setting; older students have an open design brief to show their most innovative and creative design projects.

Thirty entrants will be selected for an exhibition at the NCCD from July 1-3.

A celebratory opening night will be held on July 1, when the winners will be announced.
