Lidl set to re-open its doors in Mablethorpe

The original store was knocked down, and a new, bigger store has been built in its place, catering for the big demand the supermarket has in the town.

Ten additional jobs has been brought into the area thanks to the expanded store and customers will be able to see what the new Lidl has to offer from 8am on the day.

Lidl UK’s regional head of property, Colin Rimmer, said: “We would like to thank all those who have played a part in improving our Lidl store in Mablethorpe.

“It is brilliant for us to be able to create more jobs and investment opportunities in the area.

“We can’t wait to start serving our multi-award winning products to the local community once again.”

The new supermarket forms part of the company’s on-going expansion and regeneration plans in the UK .

It sees its existing store portfolio of 650 stores increase to up to 1,500.

The new and improved Mablethorpe store has nearly doubled in size to 2,701m² .

It also boasts state-of-the-art facilities including a bakery, customer toilets, baby changing facilities and over 100 parking spaces.

In addition to the ribbon cutting, customers will be able to enjoy 30 per cent off selected meat, poultry and fish for the first week of trading.

Lidl, which was crowned ‘Best Supermarket 2016’ by readers of Good Housekeeping and has experienced continued growth over the years.

As consumers flock to the shop to discover products – two thirds of which are British - ranging from quality British fruit and vegetables, to premiums wines from its much coveted Wine Cellar collections.

Over 5.5million shoppers are now flocking to Lidl each week and their success shows no sign of slowing.
